(a) Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
The ROHS proposal, in its current form, bans the use of certain critical substances in electrical and electronic products by 2006.
On June 4th 2015, the EU announced the 2015/863 amendment to alter the 2011/65 rule. Four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP) have been added to the restricted materials list.

Poisoned Substances

Restriction (ppm)

Lead(Pb)

Less than 1,000 ppm.

Cadmium(Cd)

Less than 100 ppm.

Mercury (Hg)

Less than 1,000 ppm.

Hexavalent chromium (Cr 6+)

Less than 1,000 ppm.

PBBs

Less than 1,000 ppm.

PBDEs

Less than 1,000 ppm.

Di- (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) Less than 1,000 ppm.
Butyl Benzyl phthalate (BBP) Less than 1,000 ppm.
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) Less than 1,000 ppm.
Di-isobutyl phthalate (DIBP) Less than 1,000 ppm.
(b) RoHS & Green Product Supply Chain Management Milestone
‧2001 Introduced Green Partner Project and defined what poisoned substance is.
‧2004 Established & updated GP SOP & related documents.
‧2005 Received the GP certification for 2005 ~ 2007 from customer.
‧2006 EU released the prohibition of RoHS.
‧2008 Received the GP certification for 2008 ~2010 from customer.
‧2009 NY poisoned substance management system go live
‧2010 Received the GP certification for 2010 ~ 2011 from customer.
‧2011 Introduced XRF to Monitor the poisoned substance.
‧2012 Received the Green Partner certification from clients. (2012~2014)
‧2013 Passed EICC audit standards.

Hazardous Substances

Typical Examples of Measurement

Shipping analysis

SGS Analysis

Cadmium (Cd)

Fluorescence X-ray analysis

ICP emission spectrum analysis

Lead (Pb)

Mercury (Hg)

Hexavalent Chro(Cr6+)

Fluorescence X-ray analysis (analyzing all Cr)

Measure the absorbance at 540 nm by UV-VIS

Halogen-Chlorine (Cl)
Halogen-Bromine (Br)

Analysis was performed by IC

(d)Supplier and Material Control
Nan Ya PCB procures green materials which can be adapted to RoHS regulation through supplier management. Materials regulated by RoHS should be without Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Chromiun VI, PBB and PBDE.
To meet customers' requirements in terms of packing and printing, the RoHS Certificate of Compliance is available at the moment.

The label specific to green product is shown on the right side. It would be attached outside the box and would be adjusted to customers requirement.
(e)SGS Testing Report
Our products would be tested every year by SGS to testify no hazardous materials detected.
