Retirement
‧Applying Retirement:
Employees who match one of the following conditions may apply
retirement:
1. Service for 15 years or more and age above 55
2. Service for 25 years or more
3. Service for 10 years or more and age above 60
‧Ordered Retirement
Employees who match one of the following conditions may be
retired:
1. Age above 65. Senior vice president or above may extend to
70
2. Mentally or physically incapable to work
‧Calculation Standard of Pension
1. Employees who choose old calculation standard of pension:
(1)The cardinal number of calculation of
service period before July 31st 1984
is based on
Regulations
Governing the Retirement of the
Factory Workers of
Taiwan
Province and calculated with the
average salary of the 3 months
before retirement. The calculation
cardinal number of service period
after August 1st
1984 is based
on 55th code of Labor Standards ACT
and calculated with the average
salary of the 6 months before
retirement. The sum of the
calculation
cardinal
numbers must not exceed 45.
(2)Full-time employees who are retired due to
mental or physical issues because of
occupational harms receive extra 20%
of the pension.
2. The Company is required by law to monthly extract 6% of
salary as pension from employees who
are applied to new standard of
pension.

portal:

In order to encourage employees to
actively bring up work-related issues, we have setup a “Formosa Plastics Group
Online Suggestion Portal” in year 2006. This will allow all employees to voice
out their innovative suggestions on various management areas. Employees can
even start a discussion thread so that all the departments can discuss about it
online, hence encouraging active participation and discussion in hope to come
up with a good proposal with breadth and depth. After Reviewing Panel has
reviewed the feasibility of the proposals, approved proposals will be forward
to a team which will come up with concrete plans on execution of the proposal.

safety and hygiene systems, the
duty of each department, all
types of protective measures,
periodical hygiene self-auditing
and training, evaluations, and
contingency plans. |

periodically hold educational
propaganda of safety and hygiene
to ensure our employees to
receive adequate and essential
training. Each department
exhibits the safety and hygiene
policies in obvious places. |

We
periodically have our employees
receive physical examination,
such as regular heath checkup,
special health checkup, foreign
employees physical examination,
and food court staff health
checkup. In addition, we set up
a medical unit, which in charge
of medical resource management,
first-aid personnel, and drugs
